“Will Probe Professional Rivalry in Sushant Rajput’s Death”: Says Maharashtra’s Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh

The Indian Politician from the National Congress Party, Anil Vasantrao Deshmukh, on Monday quoted “Mumbai Police will take into the account of M.S Dhoni starrer, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by conducting a probe.”

The Raabta actor had allegedly killed himself by hanging at his Bandra residence on Sunday. However, no suicide note has been found from the actor’s home, said Mumbai Police. The artist’s last rites were performed in the city yesterday in presence of his family members and close friends from the film and television industry.

“While the post mortem report says actor @itsSSR committed suicide by hanging himself, there are media reports that he allegedly suffered from clinical depression because of professional rivalry. @MumbaiPolice will probe this angle too,” tweeted Deshmukh.

The minister took to Twitter and said that though post-mortem report has confirmed that Sushant committed suicide, this will not be it. However, the depression angle too will be investigated till the core.

While the film fraternity was still recovering from the deaths of Irrfan khan, Rishi Kapoor and the Rajput’s ex-manager Disha Salian, this death has come as another shock for the entire industry.

Sushant, however, starred in films such as “Shuddh Desi Romance”, “Kedarnath”, “P.K”, “Sonchiriya”, etc. His last film was “Chhichhore” opposite to the actress Shraddha Kapoor. While they were all set for the latest release of “Dil Bechara” this year as well.
