Tamannaah Bhatia Talks About Difference Between South Movies And Bollywood

In one of the recent Interviews, Tamannaah was asked to share her view about the difference between Bollywood and South films. Milky beauty said that the South films are mostly focused on rooted stories and they draw inspiration from their geographical and cultural contexts.

Tamannaah said “The difference I have particularly noticed is that South films talk more in terms of their geographical locations. I think their content is translating globally primarily because they are trying to tell rooted stories.”

She further said that South films are often focused on basic human emotions that resonate across cultures. She feels that, “They don’t work from the standpoint of choosing… segments in people. They go for basic human emotions, related to mother, father… revenge on brother, sister… stories that tend to tell many more stories about basic human emotions through different storytelling formats. They are also very much concerned about putting their perspective the way it is. They are not trying to service different kinds of people. They are trying to only tell what they know fully. That has really worked, I think, for the South.”

Tamannaah feels that Bollywood filmmakers have often tries to create content that appeals to everyone which are made for the sake of everybody’s consumption and that doesn’t always succeed. However, she praised Laapataa Ladies for its unique narrative which has resonated well with audiences.
