Samantha Ruth Prabhu has attended the Jigra pre-release event in Hyderabad. The actress is dressed up in a beautiful pastel pink hued wrap dress with drop sleeve detailing. Jigra stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, while Vedang Raina will be seen playing Alia’s brother in the movie. The film is directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. It is set to hit theatres on 11 October 2024. The Telugu pre-release event was held in Hyderabad last night. Apart from Samantha, Rana Daggubati and Director Trivikram Srinivas have graced the event.

Samantha and Alia Bhatt are two of the biggest actresses in Tollywood and Bollywood respectively. Fans were excited to see their favourite actresses on the same stage and supporting each other. Alia opted for black dress for the event and while talking at the event showered praises on Samantha. Alia said “My dearest Samantha, you are a hero on and off screen. I have so much admiration for your talent, for your resilience, for your strength. It’s not easy to be a woman in a man’s world, but you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet, and you have your talent, and your strong kicks to be an example for everyone.”

Alia Bhatt Asks Trivikram Srinivas To Cast Her And Samantha In A Film
Alia also made a request to Director Trivikram Srinivas by saying “And over here on this stage, not doing this for promotion, I genuinely mean it. Trivikram sir I think Samantha and I should be in a film written and directed by you. They say actresses usually compete with each other and all of that. But there’s no such thing. I am so, so grateful that today I have a pan India superstar here to support my film and say such kind words for my film.”
Samantha teared up hearing Alia’s words and they even exchanged a warm hug at the event.

Samantha shared a picture with Rana on her Instagram stories and wrote “Backing Solid Content. Always a fan girl my dear brother.” Apart from acting, Rana is known for his knowledge in film business better than any actor. Rana has help movies like Baahubali to get more exposure in Bollywood with his contacts, he also helped Kalki 2898 AD to make its debut at Comic-Con in San Diego and also the face of many popular award events like SIIMA.

Jigra is set to release on 11th October 2024 in theatres worldwide. Apart from this, Alia will be appearing in Alpha- also featuring Sharvari, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. On the other hand, Samantha will be Raj & Dk’s Citadel- Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan which is releasing on Amazon Prime on 7 November 2024.
