Rohit Sharma Pens Special Note For Shikhar Dhawan, Shared Pictures With ‘The Ultimate Jaat’.

On Saturday, Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket-International and domestic. In 2013, MS Dhoni promoted Dhawan to the top batting order and Rohit was his first opening partner. The duo featured together in 195 matches with over 14000 runs. After Dhawan’s announcement, Rohit took to Instagram to shower praises on his long-time opening partner.

Sharing pictures from their junior cricket days to Team India, Rohit penned a heartwarming note for Dhawan. He wrote “From sharing rooms to sharing lifetime memories on the field. You always made my job easier from the other end. THE ULTIMATE JATT.”

Dhawan posted a video on his Instagram to make his announcement and wrote the caption “As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳”.

The Indian captain has recently admitted that he was fan of Dhawan in their junior cricket days. In an interview with Journalist Vimal Kumar, Rohit said “I was a fan of Dhawan during the Under 19 days. He was the man of the series in the World Cup In Bangladesh. That was the first time I was watching him and there was something special about him when I watched him on the television. He had built such a name in the circuit. The first time I saw him at the NCA, I just kept looking at him. He was different and he indeed proved it over the years.”
