Rhea got arrested by the NCB in the case of drugs. NCB arrested Rhea on 9
September and they kept Rhea in a Byculla Jail. On Wednesday 7 October she
walked out from the jail as Bombay High court granted her bail with several
conditions and 1 lakh rupees bond. However, now the lawyer of Rhea Chakraborty
reveals that when he went to see Rhea’s condition in the jail. He saw that she
was in good spirits while lawyer further said that Rhea would conduct yoga
classes for herself and her jail inmates. Satish Maneshinde lawyer stated that
Rhea could not get home food because of the pandemic and that she lived with
the inmates and even at last he said she lived like a commoner in the prison.
Rhea was in prison for 28 days as the NCB took the judicial Custody of her.
After Rhea got the bail from the Bombay high court, her lawyer was happy with
the court decision and he stated that “We are Delighted by the Order of the
Hon’ble Bombay High Court granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Truth and Justice
have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been
accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The arrest and custody of Rhea were
totally unwarranted and beyond the reach of the law. The hounding and witch
hunt by three central agencies .. the CBI, ED and NCB of Rhea should come to
an end. We remain committed to Truth. Satya Meva Jayate”. Besides this Rhea’s
brother, Showik Plea for the bail was rejected by the Court due to some
reasons, said the sources.
On the other hand, The high court granted the bail for the actress with
conditions. According to court, the actress should submit the passport, she
should report to Mumbai police regularly of her presence, should pay the 1
lakh rupees and she can’t leave the country.
