Indian cinema has produced many patriotic movies over the years from Border,
Lagaan, Swades to Sardar Udham, Shershaah in recent times. This year too,
Bollywood and other film industries are gearing up for many patriotic movies.
We try to bring some of the most awaited ones that are set to release this
year.
Tejas
Kangana Ranaut is one of the best performers in the Bollywood industry. None
could match her excellence when it comes to female-centric films. This year,
she is coming as ‘Tejas Gill’, a woman who chose to rule the skies. ‘Tejas’ is
a story of a fierce fighter pilot. Its a directorial venture of Sarvesh Mewara
and Kangana called the film “an ode to the Indian Air Force”. It will release
in theatres on October 5th this year.
Major
Tollywood actor Adivi Sesh impressed the audience with his acting and writing
skills. Major is a film based on the life events of Major Sandeep
Unnikrishnan. He was an officer in the elite 51 Special Action Group of the
National Security Guards in the Indian Army, martyred in action during the
November 2008 Mumbai attacks. The script is written by the actor Adivi Sesh
and directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. The movie is produced by Mahesh Babu and
will be released in multiple languages including Hindi this year.
Mission Majnu
After the success of Shershah, Sidharth Malhotra is once again set to make
another patriotic movie with Mission Majnu. Its a spy-thriller film directed
by Shantanu Bagchi. Rashmika Mandanna, who is popularly known as National
Crush will be making her Bollywood debut with this film. It is scheduled for
release on released on 13 May 2022.
Attack
John Abraham will be seen as a soldier in the movie based on the hostage
crisis. It is said that the storyline is inspired by true events. The movie
has Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Its a
directorial venture of Lakshya Raj Anand and bankrolled by JA Entertainment,
Ajay Kapoor and Jayantilal Gada. The movie was originally scheduled for
release on 28 January 2022 but due to Covid, the movie has been postponed.
However, the new release date is yet to be announced.
