She further said that despite her middle class background, she was determined to pave her way into Bollywood on her own terms and didn’t have any privileges as enjoyed by many other actors.
Parineeti recollecting a her early days said, “I don’t have ₹4 lakh a month to pay. I don’t make that money. This is my third film. And I remember going up to a co-actor of mine who has definitely grown up in Bombay, in this world. He’s like, ‘Why aren’t you hiring these people? It’s important for your job. I said, ‘Listen, but I really can’t afford it.’ I was paid ₹5 lakh for my first film (Ladies vs Ricky Bahl). That won’t even cover even one month of everything. He was like, ‘If you can’t afford it, then you shouldn’t be in this profession.’ And I felt like that’s so wrong on so many levels.”

Parineeti also called out favoritism in Bollywood. She alleged that actors who don’t have access to certain directors will lose out on work opportunities. “I feel that access to certain actors and directors lead to work opportunities. And if I am not available in front of their eyes all the time, I will lose out on that work opportunity”.
Parineeti About Her Love Story With Raghav Chadha
Talking about her relationship with Raghav Chadha, Pari said “We started talking to each other, and we realized not even in weeks, within days, we just used to talk about getting married. My mother always used to tell me when your life partner will come in front of you, you will know, and I said ‘Please don’t tell me these filmy line aisa kuch nahi hota’. I swear, I met Raghav and in five minutes I knew I’m going to marry this man”. She also said that she didn’t know about his exact job or if he was single or not.
