Many prominent celebs from Telugu Film Industry like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Nani, have slammed the politician for her disparaging remarks. Soon a hashtag #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate started trending on Twitter as several other actors and fans have condemned the comments made by Konda.Â

Mahesh Babu took to X platform and wrote “Extremely pained by the comments made by Minister Konda Surekha garu on fellow members of our film fraternity. As a father of a daughter, as a husband to a wife and as son to a mother… I am deeply anguished by the unacceptable remarks and language used by a woman minister on another woman. Freedom of speech can be exercised as long as it does not hurt other’s sentiments. I strongly condemn the cheap and baseless comments made and request people in the public domain to refrain from making the film fraternity a soft target. The women of our country and our film fraternity should be treated with utmost respect and dignity.”.

Jr NTR said these baseless statements are disheartening and Industry will not sit quietly. He wrote “Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. What Konda Surekha Said About Naga Chaitanya-Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Divorce
Konda Surekha on Wednesday speaking to the media said “It is K T Rama Rao because of whom Samantha’s divorce happened! KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N Convention Centre (owned by Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna). Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce.” Surekha further claimed “KTR was the minister at that time and used to tap the phones of the actresses and then find their weakness to blackmail them. He used to make them drug addicts and then do this.”
Samantha and Chaitanya have dismissed the politician’s statements and said that their divorce was mutual. Samantha and Chaitanya got married in the year 2017 and got divorced in 2021. Recently, Chaitanya got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.
