Kriti Sanon who is undoubtedly one of the top actresses in the Industry revealed the dark side of Bollywood. The actress is currently basking in the success of recently released film ‘Crew’ which has crossed 100 Cr mark at the World Box Office.
Kriti Sanon About Lost Opportunities Due To Nepotism
In a recent Interview with Pinkvilla, Adipurush star who is known for her captivating performances and charming personality opened up about lost opportunities due to Nepotism even though she felt that she had way more potential.
Kriti Sanon Wanted To Show Her Potential As An Actor:
Kriti said “There was a phase where I was just very restless because I knew I had way more potential than what I could portray in the opportunities that I had in front of me. I wanted something where I could just show my potential as an actor way more”.
Kriti About Limited Roles:
The Heropanti actress has been in the industry for more than a decade now. However, her journey wasn’t a cakewalk. Talking about her desire to prove her potential, Kriti said “I always say this that as an actor ‘Aapko Jitna ghada milega, utna hi aap bhar sakte ho. Agar aapko chota vessel diya jayega toh usme aap utna hi paani bhar sakte ho. Agar aapko bada diya jayega toh aap aur bhar sakte ho'”(Loose translation: You can only fill a vessel with as much water as it holds. If you are given a small one, you can only pour a little water in it. If it is a big one, you can pour in more water) So I was looking for that bada vessel for a very long time”.
Kriti On Nepo Kids:
Kriti alleged that she lost many opportunities because of the nepo kids. She expressed “I was getting frustrated because I was like, I know I can do it: I know I can kill it, but I don’t have it in front of me.”
She added “At that point, I was also seeing some new faces, some of them belonging to the film background, coming in having not done anything and getting opportunities that I was like, how…”
More About Kriti’s Career:
Kriti Sanon made her film debut in Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine alongside Superstar Mahesh Babu in 2014. Later, she made her Hindi debut in Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti in the same year.
On the other hand, Kriti in her initial days in Bollywood said she has always been protected in the industry. “When you don’t come from a filmy background, the image of the industry is not good. But at the same time, there are two sides to it. You often hear this gossip about casting couch. Thankfully I haven’t faced any of it. I have been in safe hands and have not experienced the dark side of Bollywood. I have always been protected”Â
Kriti’s Production House:
After 10 years, Kriti has started her production house and ‘Do Patti’ to be her first project as producer. Her recent release Crew was released on 29th March in theatres and running successfully.
