Four-Time National Award Winner Kangana Ranaut received her Padma Shri Award
Today at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. The honours list was announced in
January 2020 which also included Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Adnan Sami in the
field of performing arts. Late Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam was conferred with
Padma Vibhushan. Today in the morning, Kangana Ranaut and Adnan Sami received
their Padma Shri Awards, presented by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Earlier speaking about the honour, Kangana said, “I started my journey from a
small village in Himachal Pradesh, and for me to be in the same league as
these bigwigs we have grown up watching, whether it is Karan’s films or Ekta
Kapoor’s serials… We knew these people, growing up. And who has not heard
Adnan Sami ji’s songs? For a girl like me, to get a Padma Shri alongside them
is a matter of pride.”.
Kangana recently started her production venture ‘Manikarnika Films’. Today,
the filming of her first film ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui
and Avneet Kaur in lead roles. Kangana took to her Instagram handle to release
the first look poster of her film. She captioned the post as “Receiving Padma
Shri honour same day as beginning my journey as a producer is extremely
special to me …

production venture under Manikarnika Films Pvt. Ltd …Tiku Weds Sheru…❤️ Here’s

After receiving her Padma Shri Award, Kangana shared a video to celebrate it
and express her gratitude. She also said that the award is the answer for
those who criticize or cancelled her for her opinion on various issues.
