After a long wait, Kangana Ranaut’s most anticipated film ‘Thalaivii’ got its
release date. The PVR Cinemas shows the green single to screen Tamil and
Telugu versions. While the PVR cinemas showed their disappointment over the
maker’s decision of just 2-week window in Hindi.
Recently, Thalaivii Actress Kangana Ranaut visited the memorial of
Jayalalithaa in Chennai. She released a video clip in which she demanded the
PVR Cinemas and Inox to screen Thalaivii’s Hindi version for 2 weeks. Over
this PVR cinemas showed their disappointment and released their statement on
the same. “Thalaivii is one of the most keenly awaited films. Also, Ms Kangana
Ranaut’s acting prowess and exceptional box office pull are well-established
facts. We are thankful to the Thalaivii team for offering a four-week
theatrical window for its Tamil and Telugu language versions. We are delighted
to be able to play Thalaivii in Tamil and Telugu language at our cinemas,
however, we are disappointed that for the Hindi language version, the
Thalaivii team has decided to offer only a 2-week window. We would like to
appeal to Ms Kangana, Mr Vishnu Induri II Mr Shailesh Singh to keep a uniform
window of 4 weeks across all language versions and therefore allow all cinemas
across the country to showcase Thalaivii to audiences, on the big screen. Our
best wishes to the Thalaivii team!”.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut gives her reaction to this statement of PVR cinemas.
She shared her reaction on Instagram with a long note. She also thanked their
decision and she wrote “PVR’s decision to screen the Tamil and Telugu versions
of the film is a ray of hope for Team Thalaivii as well as all those cine
goers who are waiting to rush back to their favourite multiplex chain for a
cinematic experience. I am personally moved by the kind words used for me”.
Talking about the 4-week window in Hindi, she said “Team Thalaivii, and I hope
with talks, and a passion for the theatrical experience, we can come together
to find a solution so that the Hindi version can also find love and
appreciation on the big screen @pvrcinemas_official – Lots of Love, Kangana”.
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut posted her beautiful pictures on Instagram
in which she is looking gorgeous in a silky shimmery saree in the retro hairdo
with ethnic jewelry. This outfit opted for the new song launch event in
Chennai. Thalaivii will hit cinemas on 10th September 2021.
