Kangana Ranaut Reacts As Bombay High Court Refuses To Order Certification For Emergency. “I Have Become Everyone’s Favourite Target”

Kangana Ranaut’s much awaited film Emergency continues to struggle to get censor certification. The makers have approached the Bombay High Court on Wednesday to seek censor certification and film release.

Bombay High Court Refuses To Direct CBFC To Issue Certificate For Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency:

As per the petition filed, it is said that the CBFC has the certificate ready but not issuing it. It was mentioned that the board has ‘Arbitrarily and Illegally’ withheld the film’s censor certificate. Now, the court has refused to direct the CBFC board to immediately issue the certificate to the makers. It has asked the body to decide on any objections by September 18th.

“Judicial propriety demands such orders ought not be passed. We therefore, are unable to direct CBFC to issue the certificate as sought by the petitioner. We, however, do not dispose of the present petition. We direct the CBFC to consider the objections,” the bench said.

It also said “Movies are released on Fridays. There are crores and crores of money invested in this”.

Actor-MP Kangana Ranaut Reacts To The Controversy Around Her Film:

Kangana took to her X(formerly twitter) handle to react to the Court’s decision and the controversy around her film.

“Today I have become everyone’s favourite target, this is the price you pay for awakening this sleeping nation, they don’t know what I am talking about. They have no clue why I am so concerned, because they want peace, they don’t want to take sides. They are cool, you know chilled!!

Ha ha wish that poor soldier on the border had the same privilege of being cool, wish he didn’t have to take sides , and consider Pakistanis/Chinese his enemies. He is protecting you while you can lust over terrorists or anti- nationals.

Wish that young woman whose crime was only that she was alone on the road and was raped to pieces, she was probably a gentle and kind person who loved humanity but was her humanity reciprocated?

Wish all the robbers and criminals were also having the same love and affection like this cool and sleeping generation but the truth of life is something else. Don’t worry they are coming for you if some of us also become cool like you all they will get you and then you will know the importance of uncool people.🙂

Recently, Kangana Ranaut visited flood affected areas in Himachal Pradesh. Congress MLA Jagat Singh Negi said “BJP MP Kangana Ranaut visited the flood affected areas when everything settled down, as rain would ruin her makeup and people might not recognize her without it, mistaking her for her mother”.

Another former MP from Punjab belonging to SAD party made a derogatory remark against her following her comment that r*pes happened during farmers protest in the country. He said “Kangana Ranaut has a lot of experience with r*pe. You can ask her how it happens. People should be educated on how r*pe occurs”.

The issue started on August 8, when the CBFC certified the film as U/A subject to certain modifications. The makers have made necessary modifications and submitted it on August 14.  The board informed the makers via email that the CD of the film has been sealed successfully.

However, a few hours later, the makers received another email asking them to come to the CBFC office to collect the certificate. However, it wasn’t handed over when they visited the office.

Emergency is a film based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana Ranaut who played Indira Gandhi has also directed and produced the film.
