Hina Khan, who is fighting stage three breast cancer, has recently made heads turn as she walked the ramp at Namo Bharat program to celebrate Seva Sahas Sanskriti (Service, Courage, and Heritage). The show was hosted by popular fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
Hina Khan About Sonali Bendre and Tahira Kashyap:
Taking to her Instagram handle, Hina Khan shared pictures from the event. She has clicked photos with Sonali Bendre and Tahira Kashyap(Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife). Both Sonali and Tahira have battled cancer and now are cancer free. The three posed together and fans couldn’t stop themselves from commending their bravery and determination in the fight against cancer.
In the first picture, Hina is seen with Sonali Bendre and Tahira Kashyap. Hina was seen in Pink Salwar suit with a gajra. Hina wrote the caption as “Seeing the icons among your peers who faced what you are going through and have aced it like absolute Rockstars is not only Reassuring, Encouraging but also extremely Powerful. Last night standing with these Beautiful Strong Women was Inspiring.
This event came to me at a crucial moment, the way we celebrated the Strengths of India and Acknowledged the Indian Spirit of Resilience has helped me keep the fire Ignited within me to see it through. Hina Khan says “I am not a survivor”, recalls Manish Malhotra inviting her to the program
The event saw many Bollywood celebs, cancer survivors, and 26/11 terr*r attack survivors.
In a recent interview, Hina talking about the event said “When Manish called me for this program, I said that Manish I am not a survivor. I am still fighting it.”
Hina revealed that Manish said to her that “Hina you are fighting it very beautifully, your journey is very inspiring, we will be very happy to have you with us. Also it is important for people to know about your journey, that is why I am a part of this beautiful program organized by this Namo Bharat initiative and team”.
Hina further said “I felt very good to meet everyone here. My fight is still on and I am struggling a lot with it and I know that the blessings of the people are with me. I met all the survivors in this program and I got a lot of courage from them. I have come here to celebrate the spirit of India and we all should salute each other and be there for each other. Nothing is impossible in this world. You just have to have patience and courage.”
On the work front, Hina Khan last appeared in ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’, a Punjabi film. She was also seen in the web series ‘Namacool’. Hina will next feature in ‘Country of Blind’, a Hindi-English bilingual movie. Hina Khan has celebrated her birthday on 2nd October.
