On January 17th, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have announced their
separation leaving the fans shocked. Both have taken to their respective
social media handles to announce this news as they decided to get divorced
after 18 years of being together. There is no confirmed news about the reason
for their separation. However, new reports are coming about the reason behind
this.
Reason behind their Seperation:
As per the story in India Today, A close friend to the couple spills the beans
on what prompted their separation. ”Dhanush is a workaholic. Anyone close to
the actor knows that he puts his work before anything else. There have been
many instances that his work commitments have taken a toll on his family
life”. The insider further adds “Whenever there is any sort of friction
between them, Dhanush would go on to sign a new film, perhaps in a way to keep
himself engaged with work”.
He further added, “For anyone who knows Dhanush, he’s an extremely private
person. You cannot tell what’s going on in his mind. Even with his close set
of friends, there is nothing much that he shares. Whenever he’s had tension
with Aishwaryaa, or anything that has been a cause of friction between the
two, he has gone and signed a new film. It almost felt like he was using his
work to get away from his failing relationship and it was evident that it was
taking a huge toll on them both”.
The insider further adds the couple had sat down and had a long chat before
issuing their statement. Also, Dhanush wanted to finish the promotions of
Atrangi Re before making the official announcement. Though they have announced
their separation, they won’t be separated legally and will be co-parenting
their children, Yatra and Linga.
Did Rajinikanth tried to settle the issue?
Also, there are rumours making rounds that Rajinikanth tried to settle the
issue, however, Dhanush refused to meet him as he didn’t want to disrespect
his former father-in-law.
Throwback To National Film Awards:
In October last year, Dhanush, Aishwaryaa and Rajinikanth attended the
National film awards event held in Delhi. Rajinikanth was bestowed with
Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Dhanush received the best actor award for Asuran.
Divorce Announcement:
Taking to his social media handle to announce his separation with Aishwarya,
Dhanush wrote “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple as parents and
well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding,
adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate.
Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to
understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision
