Saif Ali Khan About His Debut In Telugu Film Industry with Jr NTR’s Devara

Saif Ali Khan revealed that he felt like a newcomer and nervous while shooting for Devara. He said “I remember my first shot speaking Telugu, and I had a bit of sweat running down my back. I felt nervous in a very different way,” the actor confessed. “I come from the same country, but our states are different from one another. Going down there was a totally different experience.

It was very kind of Tarak (Jr NTR) and Siva (Koratala Siva) because movies made in the South have recently been mind-blowing and to get a chance to act in a film like this, I did feel like a newcomer.”

Further, Saif spoke about how Jr NTR liked his performance in Omkara and wanted him to be cast in this film. He said “I have spoken the language, I love the movie, and I loved what I have done in it also. I am glad that Tarak ji wanted me in it and Siva sir wanted me in it. I think they’d seen Omkara and remembered it. I should thank Vishal ji still”.

The Adipurush actor giving insight into his character said “It’s a very interesting character. There’s a young version, there’s an older version, there’s crazy make-up. Also, it’s more like an anti-hero than a straight antagonist. There are many layers to it”.

Devara will be the second film for Saif to play an antagonist after Adipurush in recent times! Fans are loving his look in the film and waiting to see him in this new journey of working in South films and reach wider audiences.
