Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen together in the upcoming film ‘Vettaiyan’ directed by TJ Gnanavel. The audio launch of the film was held in Chennai on Friday. However, Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t attend the event. Amitabh makes his Tamil debut with this much awaited film which is scheduled for release on 10 October 2024.
Superstar Rajinikanth Recalls Financial Crisis Of Amitabh Bachchan
Talking at the audio launch, Rajinikanth became emotional while recalling the financial crisis faced by Big B. Rajini said “when Amit ji was producing films he broke into a big loss. He was not able to pay his watchman. His Juhu home came into Public bidding. The whole Bollywood was laughing at him. The world will just wait for your downfall. In three years, he did all the Ads, KBC earned all the money and bought back three homes along with the Juhu home on the same street. He is such an inspiration. He is 82 years old now and working for 10 hours a day.”

The Jailer actor further added, “Amitabh ji’s father is a great writer. He could have done anything for the influence he had. But without family influence, he came to a career alone..Once Amit ji had a terrible accident. At that time, Indira Gandhi had gone to a conference abroad. She immediately came to India. Only then did everyone know that Rajiv Gandhi and Amitabh Ji had studied together”.
Amitabh Praises Rajinikanth: “The Superstar Of All Stars”
While Amitabh who couldn’t attend the event had sent a video message. In the video, He called Rajini “The Superstar of all stars”. Recalling the shoot times when the two actors worked together 33 years back for Mukul Anand’s Hum, Amitabh said “I used to rest in my AC vehicle while shooting for Hum, and Rajini slept on the floor during breaks. Watching him be so simple, I came out of the vehicle and rested outside.”
Amitabh and Rajinikanth have also worked together in Geraftaar and Andhaa Kaanoon.
