Since India has been facing lockdown since March 25 to avoid the widespread of COVID-19 virus. And while Yami is in Mumbai, Surili, who went to Chandigarh to promote her film ‘POSTI’, is now there until the country is unlocked again. Certainly, film commitments mean that they often live in different places. But both sisters have lived together in Mumbai since 2016, and have not been separated for a long time.
On Sunday, both sisters were seen in the cover photo of Hindustan time brunch. A similar smiling photo of these sisters is uploaded by Yami Gautam on her Instagram. She captioned this as “No fake laughs here”. In another photo, both sisters were seen checking themselves in the mirror whether it’s all done just before the shoot. Yami wrote “Are we done Surilie 🤷🏻♀️ She says yes & yet it goes on like this 🐥 #sistersshootout 🥴”
Recently, Yami shared her painting of Goddess Durga. This painting shows how she is spending her quarantine time. With a motivating message She wrote “My version of Maa Durga-Shakti I dint follow any reference… just imagined & sketched my thought… I am aware it lacks precision, proportion, etc… But the idea was to connect with my inner self & let it express however & share my experience…be if any activity – painting, cooking, dancing, yoga, workout, playing a sport (staying indoors) or anything that u love,,, let it connect with your soul,,, nothing more therapeutic than it… We are all in this together… it’s a long journey & let’s support and encourage each other in building stronger emotional health #stayhome #staysafe”
Talking about professional front, While Yami has made a mark in Bollywood with performances in Vicky Donor (2012), Kaabil (2017), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) and Bala (2019), Surilie has chosen the Punjabi film industry. Ginny Weds Sunny is Yami’s upcoming movie in which she will be seen portraying her acting with Vikrant Massey.
