Backstreet Boys, a well-known American band, gave an outstanding and nostalgic
performance in Mumbai after 13 long years on Thursday. The band’s “I Wanna Be
With You” opened the DNA World Tour concert at Jio World Garden. The group’s
five members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin
Richardson continued to perform their favourites, sending fans of all ages
into a frenzy, including “Backstreet’s Back,” “I Want It That Way,” “The
Call,” “Get Down,” “Incomplete,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “Drowning,” “Don’t
Go Breaking My Heart,” and “Larger Than Life.”
The ambience, music, and lighting all worked together to create a remarkably
thrilling event that seemed to bring everyone together. The throng was seen
dancing and singing along in the footage that has been making the rounds on
the internet.
Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys said in the middle of the nearly two-hour
performance that the band should have been forewarned about how hot it is in
India. He continued, “It is not the weather that is making it hot, it because
of all you. We had no idea we had so many BSB fans here, but we now see it and
we love it. It’s our second time in India and we were waiting from a very long
time to come to Mumbai.” The next time, according to Kevin Richardson, “it
won’t be just two cities but four, five, and six cities.”
At the concert, among others, were actors Shraddha Kapoor, Jacqueline
Fernandez, Meezaan Jafri, Ram Pothineni, singers Benny Dayal, Dhvani
Bhanushali, Prakriti Kakar, and Sukriti Kakar, as well as the politician
Zeeshan Siddique and Varun Dhawan’s wife Natasha Dalal.
